Ian Dowds has been appointed Chairman of Numbor as the company looks to develop its global patent pending technologies to verify, measure and report on user interaction and engagement across mobile rich media and video content.

He is the current CEO of UKOM (UK Online Measurement) an industry body, owned jointly by the IAB and AOP and supported on the board by the IPA and ISBA, which is responsible for delivering the industry governed and recognised standard of online audience measurement.

Ian has 25 years of experience in the media from senior management and strategic roles spanning TV, agency, print and digital and has worked in senior roles at ITV, Mindshare, Turner, Specific Media, Trinity Mirror and InMobi.

Following his appointment Ian said:

“Numbor has a unique and exciting proposition in advertising engagement and measurement, particularly for video and mobile. It is great to have been part of Numbor from the very start and I am confident it can become an established part of, and valuable addition to, a market that is evolving quicker than ever.”

Numbor first launched in 2016 after identifying a requirement in the mobile video industry to go beyond viewability requirements to the next level of user interaction and engagement measurement.

Chris Davies, the CEO & Founder of Numbor, states:

“I am delighted that Ian has decided to join Numbor as Chairman as he brings a vast array of strategic knowledge and experience in the digital brand advertising industry. Ian has supported the Numbor concept since day one and has been instrumental in developing the solutions all the way through to the current market ready propositions.”
